Dr. Carmenchita M. Tumaca is a graduate with a Doctor of Philosophy major in Soil Fertility, Conservation, and Management minor in Environmental Management from the Central Luzon State University (CLSU).

Dr. Carmenchita M. Tumaca is a graduate with a Doctor of Philosophy major in Soil Fertility, Conservation, and Management minor in Environmental Management from the Central Luzon State University CLSU). She is currently the Research and Development Services (RDS) Chair of the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Science and the Soils Laboratory In-Charge. Dr. Tumaca is the Project Leader in the research funded by DA-BAR, a research entitled “Identifying Suitable Sites for Small Scale Irrigation Project through GIS-Based Water Resources Assessment in Region VI (Western Visayas)” and is currently a project team member of the RDS research and extension Project “Building Resilience Community along Aklan River.
She is a recipient of Nemesio E. Prudente Excellence in Research Awards, Best Research Paper (International Award) a research entitled “Geographic information system (GIS) on soil erosion hot spot assessment in the microcatchment of Banga watershed towards sustainable resources management” during the 3rd International Research on Higher Education(IRCHE), sponsored by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines,ASIA-PACIPIC Consortium of Researchers and Educators, Inc. and the Global Illuminators,Inc. on Dec.2-5, 2015 at Travelers Hotel and Convention Center ,Subic Bay Freeport ,Olongapo City, Philippines. She had published her research works in national and international refereed journals
